Bard-Parker™ Safety Blades and Scalpels – Coming Soon!
Aspen has entered into an agreement with BD to acquire the Bard-Parker™ Surgical Blade and Scalpel business. This includes both protected surgical blades and scalpels. Both are engineered for protection from accidental contact with the blade, without compromising performance, technique, or feel. They also help your facility to comply with OSHA and federal safety legislation.

Surgical Skin Markers
Our surgical marking pens provide an accurate and reliable way to mark the incision site prior to surgery, aiding your team in compliance with JCAHO’s Universal Protocol for Marking the Procedure Site. Pens are sterile and are available with or without ruler and labels. All pens contain prep-resistant gentian violet ink. The only exception to this is our Taper Tip All-Skin Marker which contains a deeper blue ink for demarcation on darker skin types. A variety of barrel and tip options are available depending on your need and preference.
Remember that for patient safety, skin markers are for single use only!
Utility Markers
Our utility markers provide a method of identifying syringes, medicine cups, basins, instruments, specimens, and other objects. These markers can aid in our facility’s compliance to JCAHO’s National Safety Goal #3 to Label All Medications and Medication Containers, or Other Solutions on and off the Sterile Field.
The markers are waterproof, non-smearing, and can be used on most surfaces. Utility markers are available with or without labels and come in regular or taper tip depending on your need. We also offer the Multi-Ink marker, which has gentian violet skin ink on one end and utility ink on the other.
Colby Fluid Management Products
Colby Fluid Management products provide a convenient and effective means of handling infectious waste fluid generated during very wet procedures. These products help to reduce the likelihood of injuries associated with wet floors. In addition, they protect healthcare professionals and housekeeping personnel from contact with contaminated substances and aide in your efforts to comply with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen Standard.
