10/04/2017 Update

Dear Valued Customer,

As noted in our prior communication, Aspen Surgical operates a facility in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico, at which we manufacture Bard-Parker® surgical scalpels and blades. We continue to monitor the recovery effort in Puerto Rico following the recent hurricanes and are working to limit disruption in the supply of products to our customers.

As a result of the recent hurricanes, our manufacturing plant in Las Piedras sustained minor structural damage, a temporary loss of power, and minimal water damage.  Our team on the ground is working diligently to bring our manufacturing and distribution capabilities back to normal as soon as possible.  Repairs to the building have been completed, and we anticipate that our facility will resume some level of production in the next few days. However, there remain substantial challenges on the ground with the power grid, communication network, and overall infrastructure on the island.

While we have sufficient levels of finished product in our global distribution network for the majority of our Bard-Parker codes, we expect temporary delivery shortages on select products in the coming weeks. Our team is working to manage demand carefully through allocation and will do our best to fulfill as much of your order as possible based on historic demands and current supply constraints.
